Outragous shipping

[ Edited ]

I ordered a bra from Wacoal several days ago.  After I submitted my request, they sent back a confirmation.  Today I received an email from them.  I have a tracking number, so that means it was shipped.  The estimated shipping date was August 27, 2021.  They will spend the entire month of July and most of August driving around trying to deliver a bra. I can't cancel it, because it has shipped.  I'm mostly upset about finding out after it had shipped. And that I can't do anything about it.   The email said there MIGHT be a delay (due to COVID)  I find it hard to believe that drivers (who are front line workers) are not vacinnated.

I agree @songbird that shipping has been slow, however, the delivery is scheduled for August 27th.  I too have received emails saying shipping may be delayed but my notice said nothing about Covid and yet my items were received no more than a day or so after the original scheduled delivery date.  I hope this is the same for you.  Delays have nothing to do with drivers not being vaccinated.  If you watch the news you would understand why delays are occurring throughout the postal service.

Oops, I didn't read carefully enough to see that your order has shipped.  I'm kind of confused now too.  You may get it sooner than you thought.

This thread has me so confused, I don't know what anyone is talking about.  Ah well, I don't need to know everything.

I don't think drivers being vaccinated has anything to do with the long delivery of your item. I agree it is very outrageous but even with things opening up companies are still working with less workers than normal.

Many times a shipping label is created but the item isn't shipped until a later date. Be well @songbird.

Will someone please explain what is outrageous?

@songbird

A tracking number doesn't necessarily mean the package was picked up.  It does mean the shipper was notified they need to pick it up.

You said you were notified delivery date was
August 27 at the time the tracking number became available.

Wacoal wouldn't request a pickup if your package wasn't ready to be picked up by the shipper.

Check your tracking number with Pitney Bowes Tracking to see if there is more information there.

Then, I would call the shipper to ask about this date.  Two months to ship something is ridiculous.  Never heard that before.  It could be an error.

Then, you might need to contact Wacoal depending on what you hear from the shipper.

Your estimated delivery date is definitely ridiculous.  Hopefully it's an error and you will get it much sooner.

I don't think it has anything to do with driver vaccination rates though.  There is a shortage of workers all over the country, in all areas of employment.  I would say that has something to do with it.
