I wrote last week or so asking how people like their Sleep Number bed because ours was ordered (not from the Q from the store) and I was considering cancelling after having read bad reviews on their facebook page (and some on their website). Most here had said they like theirs.

Well, we got ours a few days ago. (I realize it can take some getting used to). I had it maybe too hard the first night because I had severe (and I mean severe) hip pain down to my feet) and had to get up and walk around and never slept till 330 AM..(I waited till DH got home from work and asked what he thought and he thought it felt as bad as the mattress we just got rid of!)

Sooo then we lowered the numbers twice. Well it felt like we were camping in the woods on an air mattress. (lol).

When I lay on my back I feel it fill in when I change sleep numbers, so thats ok "on my back" (and I believe it is more for back sleepers because of that).. However, I must lay on my side (pillow between legs/fetal position) because my back is so bad. And DH is a stomach sleeper.

So finally, DH and I went up to the bedroom to figure out what we can do and played with the remote for one hour until we finally looked at each other and said LETS PUT OUR QVC double Pedic solutions FOAM TOPPER on it! The guy in the store said he wouldnt recommend doing that, but it worked much better and the bed feels OK. (not perfect but ok).

Also the model we bought is NON RETURNABLE. The sales men lied when I said is this returnable, he said yes "you have 30 days". Well I found out via facebook (people complained) that our model is not returnable!

Conclusion; Its better now with the Qs topper (and hopefully I will get used to it and it will be perfect). But in all reality we could have just gotten a regular mattress and saved money because we have a topper on so the "controlling" the number issue is useless! So, I wouldnt recommend this bed if you have a horrid back like mine, unless you get the "most expensive new Sleep Number bed that just came out with foam of their own". My DH can sleep in a hammock if he had to and he agrees.
