According to the journal "Science", researchers found when people are presented with pictures or faces, they linger longer on those with negative information. Psychologists say that focusing on the negative traits of other people may have helped our ancestors survive.
Maybe that is why we all stop and check out the headlines of the tabloids, while we are in the checkout line at the market. Our brains are hardwired that way! Anyway, you can now use that as an excuse for gossiping or watching the tabloid news!
