Let me tell you all about our new neighbor. We are in the country and this guy moved into a rental house on less than an acre and he thinks he is farmer john. Has at least 6 roosters (don't know why...maybe raising them to fight) that start crowing at 4 am every day ALL day till the sun goes down at 8. Then the jerk lets his big dog out to bark ALL night. Lovely new neighbor eh? Cockadoodle all day and woof woof all night. I too have chickens (no roosters!) and dogs but would not think of letting them become a noise nuisance for my neighbors. Some folks just have no consideration for others. Sure hope this joker gets evicted.....soooooon!

All the kids here have grown and gone off on their own.

They were funny when they were little and would band together going to each others house, "we're hungry, can we have snacks".  It didn't take long for us moms to wise up and we would call each other to let them know we had just fed them.  If we didn't, they'd do it all day long and eat us out of house and home!

I know how you feel. When I was growing up we lived next door to a moron kid who used to play his music [if you want to call it that.... boom boom boom] every afternoon cause this moron kid was so spoiled his father was chief of police and he would say...call the police see if I care. His father would do nothing about it. FInally these ignorant people moved from the neighborhood and we breathed a sign of relief . I hope you find a easy solution to your problem. Good luck!

Just a thought .. Do you have a  HOA in your neighborhood? If they are not interested in the hoop and the basketball playing at least about the bow and arrow. Nothing good could come out of that. I would report that to your county let them handle it.

I feel for everyone that has those annoying neighbors. My father has a next door neighbor that runs a daycare. He says they are always, loud, crying and riding bikes and toys in his driveway and yard. He said something to the woman but it changed nothing.

There is always noise in our neighborhood. Everyone has lawn service and we have a guy who likes revving up his motorcycle late at night. The only noise that truly bothers me is the neighbor that leaves their dog out chained to the porch most days. The dog barks all day and I feel terrible for him. I complained and mentioned to them it was cruel and I was told to mind my own business.

You said within the city limits. Does that mean you live in the city? Or is it a little town? I used to live in the city and it was loud all the time. (At night here I cant sleep because I miss that noise at times..lol).

But anyway the kid or the basketball wouldn't bug me, the other stuff would for reasons you stated.

We live in a country development and i hear kids all day and lawn mowers daily (unless is raining.lol)  But I don't mind noise having lived in the city before.

What I do hate is, our one neighbor has 6 cars now for 3 people in their house, and they don't use their garage so all their cars are parked all over so when people visit, no parking. And they shoot fireworks all Summer, illegal ones. I called the cops, because I worry about a FIRE, to no avail. Cops did nothing! Also they throw cigarette butts on our lawn and mulch. I picked them up and threw them back in piles for 3 years. They don't care. They get away with things because the man is a big shot here that owns a business and deals with all the other business's in this little hick town blocks away.

So I feel your pain. Can you move? Not that you should have to, people should have more respect for their neighbors and your neighbor should think of others.(Id like to move but we cant. The house is soon paid and we are not starting over elsewhere and DH does not want to downgrade as he had this home built in 1995 before I met him!).

The neighbor behind us bought his sons a BB gun for Christmas.  They have already shot our patio doors twice.   Neighbors can be so annoying.  They think the world revolves around them and their noise

My neighbor (woman) used to shoot a BB gun at a target in her back yard.  My neighbor (has a young daughter) and I (have a visiting granddog) called the police who then paid her a visit.  No more shooting.

There's a street that leads to the cul de sac. Crude drawing time!

@luvnlife

Is this neighbor licensed to run a daycare?  You can call your mayor's office or county government center to find out.  Good luck!!!
