Hoovermom, what a beautiful boy. I am so very sorry for your loss. We've lost two fur babies since October. The most recent was our cat, Daisy, last month. I understand what you are feeling. I don't think my heart will ever mend.

Only Shops Online: Bless your heart losing two furbabies in such a short period of time. Our hearts will be always full of their love and memories but it does not make it any easier. Thanks for your kind words about our beautiful Goldie Boy.

Emmysmom, thank you so much. We were blessed to have him in our lives. We miss him so much.

Ita! I lost my precious Nicole many years ago. I felt responsible because she slipped out the door,(we were going on a vacation) and you can guess the rest. She was my baby and I was devastated! I called my vet and we talked for a long time. He told me they have grief counselors, did you know that? Well, I decided to get another puppy and that little guy really helped the healing process. I think the reason its so hard losing a pet, (at least for me) is I totally give my heart and soul, unconditionally and feel loved in return!) I've never had that kind of love, with relationships. Thats just me! Animals are healing for me..hopefully, soon, you will adopt another kitty in need of love, and the cycle will continue.I think of the pets I've known waiting for me at Rainbow bridge!

Hopefully that thought will give you some comfort!Hugs to you and your son, that was very hard, I've only done that once!

That must have been awful for you to lose your puppy that way. I know that I was afraid for Goldie to be left outside alone during the last few weeks for fear he would run away to die. I could never forgive myself if that had happened. It sounds like the new puppy is filling a hole in your heart with his love. Aren't they the best? Maybe soon we will think about another furbaby but right now just not ready to jump in again. I just ordered his memorial stone and left flowers from our shop on his little grave today. Sad........
