This past Monday night my neighbor and I started walking again. We are fortunate to have a nice trail behind our homes, and we walk fast on the trail for an hour after I get home from work. We aim for 4-5 times a week.
Monday I had more than 11,000 steps for the day, and last night I had more than 8,000. It feels great to be outside and moving again. I was much too idle this winter!

Other than typing....lol That's really funny. Well, other than my ferocious typying, no. At the present time, I don't do any type of exersize. I do walk up two shortish flights of stairs to get into my condo. Does that count? It's been such a bad winter that outdoors walking was not possible until this week. I have treadmill, I have an exersize bike but I haven't used either in many months due to a chronic pain syndrome. The cold and snow really exacerbated it this winter. I see my doc in two weeks and I think I'll take the plunge and see if there is a medication that can give me some relief. I hate to do it, I'm not "pill" type of person.

I love to read and usually read about 6 books per week. But I do not want a butt as large as a house so instead of sitting or lying on the couch I bike. Usually about 2 to 3 hours per day morning and night. Not a big television fan.
Last week I got so involved in the book I was reading I did not realize that 2 hours and fifty minutes had gone by. I have been biking since 1985 and am on my 5th bike. Jogging? no way not going to happen!!
