James Garner's portrait was a good likeness.

Did they mention James Garner?

Yes, I remember seeing his name. So sad he's gone.

Ty...me too.{#emotions_dlg.sad}

I don't think there is a person out there who doesn't like James Garner! He was just lovable, and so sincere

Yeah it was last year. I can tell you this people on facebook are complaining galore that they didn't have Joan Rivers in that remembrance tribute.

IMO they should've mentioned her.

Apparently you have to be a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences and Joan wasn't. It's by invitation only.

Oh la di da - an invitation. Well I wasn't her biggest fan but she certainly deserved a mention.

Shirley Temple was mentioned in the 2014 Oscars.

JMO.......... I agree that Joan should have been included..........And I think her omission was purposeful rather than an oversight...........the Academy is a highly political organization still run by "old timers"/veterans with long memories and grudges set in cement............when Joan reinvented herself as the Red Carpet arbiter of fashion, she pulled no punches...........how many times did we see her stick her finger down her throat to simulate retching over a star's choice of dress?.......She made many enemies........thin skins abound in Hollywood........Joan was absolutely merciless toward Elizabeth Taylor once Liz gained weight.......Liz was beloved in Hollywood since childhood .......And then in her later years Liz became the first star to be a vocal supporter of AIDS research, rightfully winning praise and accolades................Joan made Liz's weight gain a punchline in many of her standups, as well as ridiculing Liz for her red carpet looks........Liz did not laugh off those critiques, she resented them .mightily...........all you need is one old Hollywood type on the Academy's Board of Governors who might have been a friend of Liz or who just remembers Liz being hurt and that person could have put the kibosh on a JR tribute tonight...........this is JMO and I do believe Joan deserved a nod but I can see why she was left out..........

I didn't remember James Garner died. He was so handsome.

I was surprised Joan wasn't included.

Yes, James Garner was a favorite of mine too! So many talented people but what a legacy that they left for all of us to continue to enjoy!

Worse was that Joan Rivers was again forgotten (not mentioned at the Grammy's either)!
