Orthoheel sandals & flip flops/pool side

I own 7 pair of Orthoheels 4 of which are sandals & flip flops. They are life savers for my plantar fasciitis. I've read on these boards that you can't get them wet.

I searched the information that comes on the leaflet included in the shoe box and have not seen a mention of it.

Where is this information published? I sure don't want to ruin the only line of shoes that don't cause me any pain.

Plus, I find this very odd as flip flops and sandals are summer shoes and I would think go hand and hand with pools/lakes/out in the garden.
