Re: Ordering from Facebook Ads

I am not a watch collector, but I love to wear watches too. No one else in my family does. In fact I don’t think any of my friends do either. I have ordered twice from Facebook ads. One was a bad experience. DH just ordered from a Facebook ad, was sent the wrong thing from China and had been fighting with them ever since. Finally challenged the CC charge. Never again. Smart to go right to the company.

@NEvans2   I agree, having to fish out a phone just to see the time is annoying.

Re: Ordering from Facebook Ads

I've seen several FB ads esp for cat toys, beds, litter, etc. which I'm always interested.

But out of caution, I go to website too. Sad when nobody can be trusted.

Enjoy your new watch.

Re: Ordering from Facebook Ads

Oh gosh @Kachina624 , that is a beautiful watch! So sleek! I love watches too but have been relegated to my Apple watch unless I'm dressing for something special.

Like @OKPrincess I get tons of cat ads when I access FB on my phone but zero when I am on my PCs...I think the difference is that I use FB Purity on my desk and lap top, I get zero ads. Good in one way but I miss out on 'deals'. I also missout of the bogus QVC ads that so many complain about so I guess I really don't mind.

@rockygems123    No, I don't replace batteries.  We have a great local independent jewelry store with a silversmith.  I take in fists full of watches.  The owner approached me one day and said if I'd bring in 20, they would replace the batteries for $100. or $5. each.  I'd try negotiating with a local jeweler.  Most places give a quantity discount.

@Kachina624 Ok great, that's exactly the price I was thinking of fair for a boatload of them.  Got a quote yesterday for $10, not a deal.  Will keep searching Smiley Happy

Re: Ordering from Facebook Ads

@rockygems123    Watch arrived promptly about 3:15pm and I love it!  I can't believe it got from Denmark to NM in 2 days.

It's a little smaller than I'm accustomed to.  I believe it's 36mm and I have many that are 40mm.  The had the extra link bracelet on it, which I like the best, and I'll need to have some links removed.  Never before saw a metal bracelet with quick change pins.  Easy to read.  Very sleek and distinctive looking. I'm happy.

Re: Ordering from Facebook Ads

I would never order from a Facebook add.  It's just too risky.
