I think it is nice for the holidays to have Sunday delivery. Amazon has Sunday delivery all the time in my area. In parts of NYC, Amazon has same day delivery with a large fee. .

I remember in the "olden days" around Christmas the USPS delivered on Sunday and 2 times a day the week of Christmas. But that is when the postal service was like an Army! Hahaha, the uniform, hat and leather satchel! I remember the Special Deliveries too. Not often, but they woud run out anytime to deliver the Special Delivery letter!

Just yesterday, Sunday, I got a USPS delivery of my Amazon vitamin order. So they are delivering on Sundays now.

Hi Shoe...Yep, they actually delivered my vitamins on Sunday! I got an email letting me know they would arrive by USPS on 11/9, but DH said they'd likely arrive on Monday 11/10. We were both surprised when the little truck pulled up to our house on Sunday. That's never happened before! It wasn't our regular postal worker. I'd never seen this person before.The post office may have contracted for these deliveries with Amazon. I don't know if they'll be making Sunday deliveries for other retailers, though. We can hope though, can't we? lol...

Clover: Amazon has opened quite a few warehouse distributions centers. Now that I look at their map, there is at least one in my state so that may be why my order arrived so quickly.
