@CJC  Yes, we did have a great summer in Cleveland this year.  I live 20 miles east in Mentor, but in the winter I sometimes wish I lived on the west side where it hardly ever snows.  To make matters worse, as a true sports car lover, I drive a Mustang all year (I put my 160 pounds of dumbbells in the trunk for traction)!

Yes, you are in the snow belt in Mentor.  My son works in Willoughby and has a tough commute in the winter months.  I lived south, Brecksville area, but we got our share of snow too.  West side gets much less...location location location.  I used to drive a huge Mercury station wagon that was terrible in the snow.  When parked for awhile I always had to pull out the carpet from the tailgate area and place it under my rear wheels to back out of a parking spot.

I live south of Cleveland, in Dover, and have been getting as much done outside as possible before the cold snap on Saturday. I was taking the screen panel off of our back door, and realized we rarely had the doors and windows open this Summer and Fall due to the heat. We used the air conditioner a lot more this year than usual.

We broke a record here in St.Louis today with a high of 83.  A cold front is supposed to come in about 9:00 tomorrow night, and the low Saturday night is supposed to be in the upper 20's......go figure.

I think Michigan is going to get hit too.  You're not alone :-)

@momtochloe  Sounds like you're exactly one day ahead of us.  I should just check in with you when I need to know tomorrow's weather forecast!

Feel free my friend @2blonde . . . I just went out to check for the mail and it is like summer again . . . unbelievable . . . I mean I'm looking at the calendar and it is November . . . Smiley Happy

@momtochloe  Well, I remember clearly last Thanksgiving I went to a friend's home for dinner and it was in the 70's, and we spent much of the day outside!  I don't think we'll be so lucky this year........they're predicting rain for turkey day!

I'm on north central Ohio on the lake.  I also remember sitting outside last year on Thanksgiving.

However, my FB page brought up a photo that I took a year ago.  On either November 16th or 17th, 2015, it was snowing very hard because I took a picture.  Then it got warm again.

I'm in Chicago too, and it's warm out.   My husband is going to put the Christmas lights outside today before it gets cold.   I dread snow

I went for a walk last night and there were a lot of people doing their x-mas decorating.  Same for last Saturday because it was nice out.

I suspect many will be out today too.  It's gorgeous outside but it's very windy.

It seems to be part of the norm now. It was 54 yesterday and 78 today. Low 50's for the next few days then low to mid 60's Thursday and Friday.

Today was just gorgeous!

@Noel7

Noel, it was a dud  here.  We are on the southern edge of Santa Clara valley.  The last few years we get very little than the north bay!  I haven't seen a storm, a real storm that lasted for days since 1996 or 1998 ( I forget, which year, but one of those) it rained forever.  It started raining in November and didn't stop until after Memorial Day!  In d

fact that year it rained all but one day in January.  I miss the rain.  Real rain, wHat a concept.

Re: Only in NE Ohio!

[ Edited ]

It was 77 on Friday...now we have snow and it's not above freezing!

It's also been extremely windy - my poor terrier was very anxious all last night - I had to put on his Thunder shirt and now he's much calmer.

That's Western New York for you!
