Only call 911 for emergencies, not other things

Our news keeps breaking in saying people are calling 911 to ask questions. 911 is getting jammed. ONLY call 911 for true emergencies. I know the hurricane is upsetting (believe me I know I am here in PA) but when calling for NON emergenices, you are stopping people in TRUE emergencies from getting the help they need! Why dont people get this?
