I'm looking forward to longer days and flowers again!

^^^This! A million times this!
There's absolutely nothing that one can do about the weather, yet people spend so much time complaining about it. Life is far too short to wish away a single second of it over something you can't control.

60 degreees yesterday !
I've loved the warmer temps of the last few days - got to play a few rounds of golf. It was wonderful to be outside and enjoy the sunshine. Of course, this too shall pass and by next week we'll be back to colder temps and perhaps a little snow. It's all part of life in beautiful #PureMichigan!

Last night when I turned on the lights on at 4:30 I was thinking that. Still dark. Didn't help.

@Foxxee I SO agree. It won't be long until I'll be seeing my electric meter spinning like a frisbee, trying to handle the TX heat. Spring can sometimes be pleasant, but very short. It's in fall and winter that I come to life.
However, my winter is like spring for so many others. Our freezes are fairly rare. Snow is once a decade, or more. Heck, on Xmas day it was in the 70's. But, the nights dip into the 40's, or 50's for good sleeping.
For me, the holidays make the seasons even more cozy and wonderful. That said, I never mind Xmas in July. It's just one step closer.

Thanks. I can wait. I like winter. Besides, unfortunately summer follows spring.

That thought went through my mind this morning. I get my mammogram every March, around my birthday and it occurred to me that it's only three months away. Granted, there's a lot of winter to go in the next 12 weeks but we are on the down side now.

The days are (technically) getting longer. So far, we've had only a couple of snowfalls (one blizzard and very cold) so it seems to have been mild this year. It will be interesting what January, February and March bring us . . . we desperately need the moisture. Some good rain would be welcomed! I've ordered several plants and a lot of flowers already (free shipping if ordered and paid by 12/31/2019)! I do it every year.
Guess if I have to have surgery, January is the best time to be home-bound and in a warm bed! I avoided those cold months of 2019 with my compounded fractures in my back and didn't miss going outside at all. Having a wonderful son and great friends and neighbors helps so much. We have all taken care of each other for decades so it is my time to "collect" according to them. Sweet sentiments, but not an annual thing on my "to do list"!

Presently 57 degrees here and it feels so warm out. We've had a mild winter this year so it seems like it's already been here.

71 more days until Daylight Saving Time. I hate these short days.
