Felix Hernandez of the Seattle Mariners threw a perfect game. It was a Sunday afternoon and my family was sitting here at home and saw it happen. The Seattle Times sold prints of the photograph of him throwing his arms in the air and whooping in celebration; at my request, my husband gave me a framed copy of it for Christmas.

Too bad he's playing with such a terrible team. That big fat contract of his will give him plenty of money but it can't change the fact that with the M's, he'll never, EVER get to the playoffs, much less the World Series.

But anyway, congratulations to Felix on a great achievement!
