It was absolutely delicious...Lemonade Apple.  I found them at Sprouts.  They taste just like lemonade...amazing.

If you see some, pick one up and try.

What are Lemonade Apples?

A Lemonade apple is a yellow, crisp, sweet-tart apple from New Zealand, known for its refreshing, slightly fizzy taste, resembling lemonade; it's a Gala/Braeburn cross, often elongated, with thin skin, and is great for eating fresh or in salads. They offer a unique, bright flavor with a crunchy texture, available seasonally in North America from late spring through winter, grown in New Zealand and Washington.

@Mersha   Thanks for the 'heads up" on this new flavor apple!  There's a Sprouts not far from my house in NJ, so I'll stop in and see if they have them there.  It seems growers are now trying new things like this.  Recent new ones were 'cotton candy grapes'.

I'm not close to a Sprouts but do shop at Whole Foods and get apples there but not familiar with this one.  Are they organic?
