I woke up to a mouse at the bottom of our steps. I stepped over it. At first I thought it was the cats toy till it moved.

We have THREE CATS. The cats sit and watch the mouse roll around, walk and do NOTHING. I am fit to be tied. We never had mice, due to having cats.

I cant believe our cats are watching the mouse and doing nothing. Our 1 cat bites and scratches the vet and me (if you touch her further than her neck but she cant get a mouse!).

I called my friend and shes laughing that Im grossed out. She said spray it with some kind of poison (I cant do that if our cats bite it then they could get poisoned) Then she said smash it w a broom. I cant get myself to do it b/c Im thinking the mouse will run and hide if I miss.

I had 2 mice at my old apartment years ago, and I called the landlord at the time while standing on a chair.

I called my husband at work and he yelled you called me over a MOUSE and hung up. (I never call him at work, never ! So I couldnt believe he hung up). My husband will come home and think its nothing. Well Im sorry some people hate snakes, spiders, whatever. I am formerly a city girl and I hate mice!

Its nice to know our cats do nothing. I know this sounds dumb but I have to get ready for a Dr appt. and I cant get myself to go upstairs and get ready and go past the mouse. I know Im acting dumb but I HATE MICE!

It's okay! I hate spiders. You're cats are being mean to you by not catching the little stinker, but then that's how cats are. They'll go after it when they are ready ... not when you want them to. LOL Take a deep breath and bound up those stairs young lady. You have clothes to get on. It will be okay when you get out of the house and hubby comes home. Maybe the cats will be bored while you are gone and will catch the little varmint. Good Luck!

put a coffee can or something over it to trap it. Then, when your husband gets home, he can slide something under the can and put it outside.

Are the cats nearby? Maybe they are stalking their prey. if it moves, they are ready to pounce on it. If the mouse is just lying there, perhaps your cats have already injured it and it can't run away. Mice don't just stay in one place. Good luck. Don't like mice or water bugs. My cat have presented me with both on occasion. Yuck.

My family had a terrier-beagle mix as a family pet. A mouse didn't stand a chance with that dog around. He would corner it and then paw at it until it just lost the will to live.

That mouse is a lot more afraid of you than you are of it.

I read that as moose. I thought you were really brave to step over it and had to go back and re-read it. I think I need to update my reading glasses.

My neighbors cats kill anything and everything. Nothing is as unpleasant as going over there and finding guts all over the sidewalk. Count your lucky stars.

Get a snap mouse trap and smear it with peanut butter and trap the mouse.

Thank you for understanding. (I feel like a nut!).

I went to get a bucket thinking I can put it over the mouse. Now the mouse is up against the woodwork just sitting so I cant get the bucket around it. (I HOPE its injured from our cat but I dont know). Because earlier as I said 2 of our 3 cats were sitting there watching the mouse roll over, walk, and did nothing but watch it. I watched the whole thing w my own eyes and couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Now Im thinking where theres one mouse theres more. I have the creeps. I must go up and get ready, my husband will be home in a bit over an hour to take me to my pain Dr.

I bet my husband comes in and picks that mouse up with his bare hands! (Brrrrrr I could vomit).

And PS Im calling an exterminator. When I had the mice at my appt. (when we were dating) my husband tried to use a bate thing to trap and release and we saw a mouse walk by it. They don't work. And I picture my husband to argue w me about an exterminator. OK I love animals too, just not mice!
