Hadn't watched all of them, but thoroughly enjoyed couples dance skaters Chock and Bates (USA).
Was instead taken away by a movie "To Catch A Thief" starring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly.

What a beautiful pair. Sad about his passing while practicing.
I just read in Wikipedia about Ekaterina and her skating and personal life after her husband's death.
She divorced her 2nd husband. He was another Russian skater. They had 1 child, but the marriage only last a couple of years.
@songbird You know she has a child from each marriage.

Yes, we will be watching some of it. Luge, Ice skating, snowboarding and curling. Luge is my favorite sport to watch during the Olympics. One person on a skeleton going as fast as they can. If I were ever an Olympian that would be my sport!

Huge fan of the winter Olympics. I watch them all except curling & Biathalon.

The Russian girl tested positive for enhancement drugs. Did they still let her keep the Gold? Very unfair if they did.
And, didn't Nathan win the Gold?

Gave up watching after the gymnastics scandal. They allowed the Dr to continue molesting hundreds of girls for years.

An arbitration panel ruled today that 15 year old Russian skater Kamila Valieva will be allowed to compete in the Women's Figure Skating event.
This panel did not address the awarding of the Team Event medals which could take weeks to conclude.
The USOC immediately expressed its disappointment with the decision, as did Olympic Committees of other nations.
(To clarify, she did not test positive during The Games. The results from a sample taken on December 25th were disclosed during The Games.)

@Johnnyeager Thanks for the update. I knew they were meeting Monday morning (their time) to discuss this is disappointing to hear.
It's also a shame for all the top teams not to have a medal ceremony by now and have this figured out. Why do I think this will go on for quite some time.

The IOC has just announced that if Valieva were to win any medal for the women's competition it would not hold a medal award ceremony to "restrict celebration of her achievement."
That would be very disappointing, I imagine, for the other two medal winners.
If that should happen maybe she could just recuse herself from attending the awards ceremony.

It makes no sense does it. Either she wins the gold and gets to celebrate or she is not allowed to skate and the winners get to celebrate. How about hold the ceremony for the silver and bronze winners and leave the center podium bare. Don't deprive two for the actions of one. They cite her age, 15, and that being a minor gives her a free pass. Russia sure gets away with a lot of cr*ap.
