The App Store has several free Apps to follow the Olympics. Would anyone worry about using them for fear of being hacked? I haven't downloaded any so far. There were numerous articles about not expecting any privacy on devices while IN Sochi, but I have to wonder about using Olympics-related Apps here in the US.

I don't blame you for being cautious, especially in light of Richard Engels report on NBC news. Google his report and what happened to two brand new unopened computer after setting them up.

Thanks mgm2! I did see that report and that's partially why I have concerns. I guess there would be no connection between Apps downloaded and used in the US and actually using a computer in Russia.

I'm not so sure because you can unwittingly download a virus.
