Several of these stores have just opened in the Atlanta area -- one just a few miles from our house. DH and I visited it Saturday and were blown away by the great stuff and great buys. Just their book department was a treasure trove, with a wide variety including high-end cookbooks, decorating books, craft books, and a full line of "___ for Dummies" books on a number of topics. I bought one on jewelry-making and beading for $6, as well as a big, beautiful Southern Living decorating book for $9.99. They also carried garden and patio supplies, dry goods, carpet, flooring, electronics, hardware, toys, giftware, kitchenware, greeting cards......apparently the stock changes from week to week as they receive truckloads of closeouts and overstocks.

Anybody shop Ollie's in your area? We loved it!

We have 2 Ollie's stores in areas where we shop often, but have never stopped and browsed in either one. Based on your experience, maybe I'll move it a little higher on my list of things to do!

Thank you for posting! I have one very near me but haven't stopped in yet. Now I'll make sure I do!

I'm wondering if they had an unusual amount of "good stuff" there for the grand opening, or if it's like this all the time. We'll be stopping in again to check things out for sure!

They change what they have to some degree depending on what deals they get on products-liquidations, etc. I got a couple of great shelving units for my outside storage house for much less than I would have paid at Lowe's or Home Depot. Last year I was looking for a particular color of Christmas ornaments which was hard to find - walked in Ollie's and there they were! And I agree about the book section as well..and they have a lot of housewares. You never know what kind of bargains you'll find there!Smile
