@JoyFilled Warrior , no the money isn't near that old, it's from the 1990's that I was wanting to use.

@monicakm   My husband always uses cash too for almost everything.  I use cards.

 

I have been carrying the same cash in my wallet for almost a year now.  I very seldom spend it.  I always have some with me....just in case.

 

No one has ever refused cash that I know of either.

I pay with a card 99% of the time, but I always have cash on me.

Take them to your bank and ask if you can exchange it for current currency.  A friend had a similar situation after her dad passed away.   Old bills in good condition are legal currency but retailers are not required to accept them.  My friend's bank did charge a small processing fee.
