Re: Oh please, please, just…..no……

These texts are lame and as useless as the live caller conversations. Run a scroll at the bottom of the screen. As someone said, limit the text to facts about the product and how many characters they can type. No gushing over the host or vendor, which is just silly and useless to a potential customer.

I do not care if someone says they own 32 bags. How you spend your money is your business, especially in these troubling economic times. I have never fallen for the whole pressure to buy more because a fellow customer, model or host own 70pairs of beach pants.

Textamonials are just as bad as calls if you ask me.

I  don't see nearly as many testimonials calls now like they did in the past. Especially the TSV's would take multiple calls in every show. Many calls too in the big jewelry shows.

It’s annoying. People spend enough time on their phones & QVC shouldn’t encourage it.

SK said she loves reading the text to the point she forgets to do the presentation. And she has a habit of reading 1/2 the text, then goes back and does colors, etc. and minutes later she reads the second 1/2 of the text.

Re: Oh please, please, just…..no……

I guess I'm the odd one out regarding textimonials.  I actually like them.

At first I was just happy that they seemed to take away time from the cringe-worthy telephone calls.

But as the instances continue, I enjoy the text messages.  They're usually short & to the point.  No crying, tipsy, mourning family members or describing upcoming medical procedures.  No life coaching or preaching either.

Of course the texts are cherry-picked to get only the positive ones read on air.  It wouldn't make any sense to read nasty, obscene, complaining, or childish texts.  It's still a retail business to sell things; they're not just passing notes in the classroom.

But few calls remain, so I guess for now they'll have both and see how sales are impacted.

The testimonials, especially the phone calls are more entertaining than the hosts!

Shawn is all over the place and she will be the first to admit it.

@dodies   Although yes the calls can be annoying to hear, they are nothing new. I think they took calls from the time Q began and felt for some reason they'd help sales now.
