@ellaphant I have never been a summer person...even as a kid. As a senior citizen I dread this time of year. Can't deal with the heat...the humidity...the darn bugs...and the allergies. The count is on...74 days until the first day of fall. 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁

I'm 45 minutes south of San Francisco and it's going to be 88 degrees. I don't know how you all handle the heat, the humidity and then the cold and snow. I feel bad for all of you
@Parischic. At least we can plan an event and be assured it won't be rained out here in the hot desert. LOL.

While the heat is life sapping, to me, the worst days are when the humidity feels as though there is no air! Stifling and dangerous...

@Witchy Woman I know exactly where you are...my daughter went to college in St. Mary's Co...end of the Earth! We are in Worcester County - the other end of the Earth lol...

I am in Westchester County, New York. We had a heat wave last week. One day hit 101 degrees and with humidity felt like 106. The temps are in the high 80s this week with high humidity. I actually pray for cold weather. I can deal with that. My sister wanted to know if I wanted to go to Robert Moses State Park - west end of Fire Island - tomorrow. I told her that even though I love the ocean, the humidity is supposed to be very high. The sand will be extremely hot. So I am passing.

i know that this is one of your most favorite times of the year in MD @bmorechick , but this is my least favorite time of the year. we have been unlucky to get mostly 60% plus humidity. just got back from the beaches and it was HOT, HUMID, STICKY, BUSY, CROWDED.....bring on AUTUMN!

The first thing I check on my phone's weather app is the Dew Point.
If the Dew point is in the 40-60% range it is fantastic.
When it gets into the higher 60% territory it feels a bit uncomfortably muggy. If it is in the 70s and above....
stay inside and forget everything.
When they say "It's not the heat it's the humidity" what they really mean is the Dew Point.
@bmorechick -The cities along the Northeast corridor
(Boston to Washington) get these soul crushing dew points often.
