@sunshine45 I am stunned you still have no power.  We were without for 7 days but that was years ago during El Derecho (and far more widespread damage than this).  I am so, so sorry.

I am stunned also. We do not even live in a rural area. I think I heard that there has not been this many widespread outages since the El derecho (2012 I think?). I am pretty disappointed in bge right now, especially since they are receiving extra help.

I feel terrible for you and those in your area.  I watched on the news the damage done in yours and several other communities.  I hope they get the power back on soon.

@sunshine45 I am crossing everything and I'm mad at BGE too in support.  You are really making me want to get a whole-house generator.  We always talk about it whenever there's a big storm but then we forget.

Hi @sunshine45 fingers crossed you finally get power restored today. Did you get much snow overnight?  We had a few inches then turned to rain, so just a slushy mess.  Not complaining about that.

FINALLY we are back with heat and all of our cable services! it seemed like forever!

at around noon today i was in the car and they said about 6100 were still without power. around 1:00pm today i saw five trucks go up our street and by about 2pm we had our power back!

we had maybe two or so inches of snow overnight. it is a really heavy snow, but it has mixed with some rain this afternoon. we were driving home in it last night once we had finished at the restaurant.

hope everyone is safe and warm today. i am so enjoying our HEAT right now! came home early to start some laundry, the dishwasher, and do some more cleaning of the refrigerator and freezers. unfortunately, we lost a lot of meat and produce and frozen stuff.
