Mind you I love the staff at our local Walgreen pharmacy but I wish corporate would step up and fix issues.  The poor staff is overworked and never enough staff ever.  If you have a question about your prescription like PRICE it never shows up correct on their website, which they really need to update or upgrade.  This local Walgreens has NO drive thru! makes it difficult for folks with mobility issues.  The store is sqwished between other stores and the pharmacy is like 2 football fields at the back of the store.  If you try calling you get the robot lady that takes forever to get to a live person, takes over 45 mins to speak to anyone! (as they are understaffed)  They do have a curbside pick up, but ONLY for non-prescription items.  I found out today as I spoke to corp that they can mail your prescription and you can get it within 5 days at no charge.  I have to go that route now but if I need a prescription right away, I cannot.  Thank you all for the vent! Smiley Happy  just frustrated.  Wish I could use another pharmacy but like I said the staff is wonderful and the closest different pharmacy is out of my range.

When I am queen, the first ones off the plank are going to pharmacy workers.

Wow!  We have 2 Walgreens in my city and both have drive-thru, are free standing buildings, and they have walk-in, curbside pickup or same day delivery (website says 1 hour!).  I have seen Walgreens in a lot of other towns and they are free standing buildings as well.  It sounds like your store is not the standard Walgreens model.

Gee we have so many Walgreens that it feels as if there's one on every corner.  In my area they're  all free standing with a drive up.

When I call l get the recording, but after working my way through the choices, someone in the pharmacy does pick up.  Staffing seems to be ok.

Sounds as if Walgreens isn't very committed to having a store in your area, giving it so little support.  Are you in a small town?

I also have a Walgreens that I use.  It is the nicest, cleanest store and they are very good at customer service.  Free standing building with a drive thru.  In my area they are much more competent than CVS.

we love our walgreens, but no longer use it for prescriptions.

we switched to a locally owned small mom and pop pharmacy that delivers and has excellent customer service and is easy to get in touch with.

@northiie57  "the closest different pharmacy is out of my range."

Call them to find out their rx delivery service.  If better than Walgreens, make that "one time out of your range" trip to set up your deliveries.

I have a couple of Walgreens in my area that are in strip shopping centers, so no drive through. To me it sounds as if they are attempting to do their best in what are still difficult times.

In my area it seems all pharmacies, even those in grocery stores, have had to cut back their hours. And yes, the phone can ring and ring. Places are severely without staff. So rather than call, check their website for that location and see if they have a better option for you.

@northiie57   Do you not even have a grocery store with a drive thru pharmacy?  I use Kroger pharmacy and always pick it up at the drive-thru unless I need groceries that day.
