This picture was taken just a few minutes ago from a live cam in Fairbanks, Alaska.  I'd hate to have hear what the town folks said when the looked out the window this morning.

I wish I was there. It's funny because when my husband wanted to move to Alaska years ago I thought he was crazy but now that I've lived where it snows I really think I'd love it there. I've did the hot SW thing for years and I'm over it. I remember when I was 18 we went to the mountains for about 2 weeks for Christmas and I loved it. I walked everywhere and loved being out in the cold and snow.

Pretty picture but I've been to Fairbanks and can say with some certainity that you do not want to live there.  Smiley Wink

If I lived there, I would not be happy at all. Must make for a long winter.

Gardening season is over already for those in Fairbanks.  That must be sad.

Ugh, ick, yuck.

Was trying to ignore the fact that we are getting closer and closer to that in Ohio, but hopefully it will be about 3 months before we have to look at the same here.

You just made me appreciate the great weather we are having here even more!

I love snow and wish we got more than we usually do. Normally we get 2 or 3 skimpy snows every winter, usually at night so I can't watch it fall.  Then it's gone by noon.  Well, at least it doesn't inconvenience anyone.
