Wow...this guy (a native of my hometown no less!) was pretty brazen - and until last year, STILL was getting kickbacks from vendors!

I wonder who was involved...glad to see they caught this creep...

His Twitter account is pretty 'lit' in 2012...livin' large.

There were a couple very notable vendors noted

in pics/tags, but it was his 'it's mine' purchases 

which, in hindsight, makes one smh.

Wow! Sadly, businesses always need to be on the lookout for this kind of behavior. My husband, a retired accounting professor, specialized in internal control, i.e., how to try to prevent this criminality on the part of certain employees. He often said, however, that some of these clever thieves are often a step ahead of their employers. Greed knows no bounds for some people.

Nothing new here.  It happens across the board in many corporations.  This is just hitting the news because it is QVC. 

Vendors offer "perks" all the time.

Whether the Q should have scrutinized those invoices more carefully is a whole seperate issue.

You can only get away with this type of action for so long; eventually you will be caught and it seems the ball was dropped for quite a while.

SOP for most businesses. I can tell you we've gotten free stuff from my husbands vendors.

No wonder Q raised prices and stopped refunding the original shipping (unless defective).

This issue is the lavish lifestyle he was able to swindle out of QVC's finances. 

Accepting gifts from vendors may have also been against QVC's policy, too; not all corporations allow it.

He was just greedy and actually stupid to think this would never eventually come to light.

It was amusing to read the comments under the article. One poster said they didn't realize QVC had a million dollars...LOL
