I attended the Beatles concert in 1964, Indianapolis State Fair. Ringo must be in his late 80's...time flies. Enjoy @rms1954

@kitcat51 wow what a wonderful memory to always have !!      It's something I always wished I could have done,  was way too young then.    I have seen wings in concerts couple of times and also Paul in concert in the early 2000's.

@Kitty Galore Same here!  Oh I wanted to go see The Beatles so badly back in 1964.  (I was in the fourth grade) They came to NYC and we were living in Queens at the time.

We moved to NJ two years later and I can remember standing in the driveway with a friend watching another friend go with her family to see The Beatles in Atlantic City then.  I was so Jealous!!

Like you I did get to see Paul with Wings (Wings over America in the mid 70s) and again in the early 2000s.  I saw George Harrison in the mid 1970s when he came around with Ravi Shankar.

I turned 12 the summer of 64 & my grade school offered a  4-H program, I took the Shop class & on the last class day we were surprised with Beatle tickets. The concert was so exciting & after I was standing outside with a friend near a limo, the Beatles exited the building, suddenly a crowd rushed, I was carried next to the limo door & there was Paul, I touched the towel around his neck & he smiled at me...I couldn't believe my fav Beatle smiled at me, lol. All 4 made it into the limo & off they went. Happy you enjoyed seeing him in concerts too @Kitty Galore

@kitcat51 Wow!!  That's so exciting and you must have been on cloud 9 for a long time! LOL! Smiley Happy

@rms1954

Let us know how you liked it!  And tell us what other artists he had with him, please!  DH and I went to see him several years ago and it was really one of the best concerts we had ever gone to!  So much fun!  A couple years before that we saw Paul McCartney - this was amazing!  He was always my favorite Beatle!  I am so glad that I got to see two Beatles at least!  I only wish I could have seen the Beatles when they were all together!

Loud.  I liked when he sang but the majority was the band playing guitars.  Not my idea of an enjoyable evening.  We were originally supposed to see Barry Manilow.

Enjoy... can't believe this is your first ever concert. There is nothing more exciting than a live show.

I lived a very sheltered life. Plus I wasn't allowed to do a lot of enjoyable things.   My mother hated seeing me happy.

@rms1954 - What a shame you didn't enjoy your evening.

Way back when, Journey pretty much cured me from concerts of anything but classical performances.  Thought I'd never hear again.  Parking was a mess, had to walk through crowds to get in. . . nope.  Done with that.

Same with football games.  Not worth it.  Excetion would be the Stones and me being younger!  They were great!

I was a teen-ager when Rock 'n' Roll came on the scene. A live showing was very rare  here and when they advertised a R&R show my friends and I couldn't wait.

The place was packed. Everyone loved it. For some reason I only remember The Flamingos. But whatta memory. I loved them. The way they all stood together, made their moves in perfect timing, they wore flared satin pants and tops to match. Pink. I wonder if that's because  flamingos are pink, lol. They sang, 'I only have eyes for you.' Swoon time!

@haddon9   I feel George was always  underrated,   He was a great guitarist and had a some fantastic songs of his own !    Paul will always be my favorite though.  He is just plain Amazing 🤩    It's sad other generations havent had what will always be a once in a lifetime Phenomenon.... the fab 4 Imo.    There will never be anything like them ever ,  they are part of our history !! A different time, a different world....

i was too young to appreciate the Beatles when they arrived in the US. I had just turned 7 and i do remember the TV news when they arrived at Idlewild and all the girls screaming. We only got 1 channel on TV and it wasn't CBS and the Ed Sullivan Show was on CBS. i guess it was 4th grade Sgt.Peppers was released and i discovered them!
