A bit of self-loathing rearing its head on this thread.

I see no self loathing.
I see humor. I see a sense of respecting all age groups.
I see not taking yourself so seriously.
Try it. You might like it.

It rocked me for a split second. I made sure she knew that she can thank generations who went before, for the rights she enjoys now.
Anybody else?
I wouldn't let those whippersnappers upset me.

@bathina Let's start by getting rid of the overuse of the phrase "existential problems". And by overuse I MEAN overuse all over the news and social media.
Now let's get into the environmental issue. At one point in their lives did they become aware of environmental issues and when did they get involved. I would never discount a person's concern but I do resent that only the current "newbies" to the cause are aware and actually doing something.
I agree that the hard fought battles for equal rights for women, gays, poc, etc. are enjoyed by these same women today. Certainly not perfect rights, but rights nonetheless that were almost non-existent decades before.
As far as sons being taught, my son could iron at the ageof 7 (supervised), could make simple meals in middle school, and never, ever leaves child care solely to my DDIL, so another pov that generalizes how clueless men can be can be dismissed.
Every generation has leaders, every generation has sunshine flag wavers TEMPORARILY caught up in the cause du jour and every generation has members who are not only clueless but just do not care.
I don't care if I'm called "OK Boomer" because I have nothing to answer for to that person. The person wouldn't know me, where I come from, what I have done (and continue to do) with my life.
If such a person wants to sit and talk to me about any topic, here I am. Not to defend myself but to hope that the conversation would be equal, fair, and true.
Once we start labeling people, there is nothing that can be said to change a person's mind.
If a person thinks so badly about Boomers, then to me that negates to a degree what he/she THINKS he/she knows.
And sometimes the finger pointing at older generations is a substitute for not facing one's own contribution to some of the problems EVERYONE faces today.
I'm comfortable with who I was as a young college woman, as a mother, and how I stayed the course with doing what I believe to be right.
No "Ok Boomer" can take that away from me.

Did I miss the answer to "which generation was handed a perfect world?"
I think that saying "OK, Boomer" is just ignorant and childish.

@bathina Really? I would ask her what she thinks about racism and if it's okay in her opinion....because if it's not okay then how could it be okay to lump a generation together? How is it any different by stereotyping individuals when they belong to a certain race, ethnic group, gender, religion or generation? What am I missing?

@QVCkitty1 Why is it okay to lump anyone who belongs to any group as all the same? That's what my point is....oh and since your tag line claims I'm entitled to my opinon well that's what it is....just my opinion that people should be taken as individuals.

Ok, boomer. 👿
I believe in respecting everyone. Age with bad behavior does not warrant my respect. Young with good behavior does.
Boomers are the "me" generation. How entitled is that?
?

You are entitled, and I'm entitled to be appalled by that opinion.
