I just got home from grocery shopping, and when I was in the check-out line, the woman behind me was telling me that a bottle of barbecue sauce used to be $0.98, and now that same bottle is $1.98.
For me, on average, I usually spend about $200/month on groceries.
How about you?

It varies widely for us, because we stock a year's supply of many foods and household goods.
I don't grocery shop in the aspect of buying food for the following weeks meals. I only buy what is on sale, and I buy in large quantities things that are at a rock bottom price.
For example, with the holidays coming, certain things will be as cheap as they will be for the entire year and those thing I will buy a years worth. Flour, sugar, butter, turkey, sweet potatoes, even celery that I will chop and freeze for soups, stews and casseroles for the rest of the year.
Some weeks I will spend $400 on groceries, some weeks $30, and some times I go for many weeks and buy nothing at all. I don't have a budget, I just buy what is at lowest prices, and I shop my freezers and basement each week to make the meals.
We also grow a lot of our food, and I can and freeze a lot of fruits and vegetables from our orchard and garden.

@Anonymous032819 $200 is very low for a month with prices the way they are. You must live in an area where prices are lower.

Over $100 per week. There are two of us and we eat out frequently and it's still over $100 per week.

I would say less than 200 dollars a month, but it's only two of us and that would include toiletries.

Too much...for the two of us it's anywhere between $800.00-$1,000.00. DH is fussy about quality food...we only buy organic.

A minimum of $400-$500 a month for two seniors in Central Florida.
