It was during OJ’s trial & subsequent verdict that I questioned our justice system. Most of us could not afford “The Dream Team” to get us off. The public did not see the brutal photos of the victims but the jury did & I don’t understand how the members of the jury could acquit him. He was very charismatic as most sociopaths are.

In 2008, O. J. was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping at gunpoint in Las Vegas. He spent 9 years in a Nevada prison. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

I didn't even know he had cancer.  No sobs from me.  He did serve some time in prison for another crime.  So some justice for the Goldman/Brown family.

Rob Kardashian was one of the lawyers in the murder trial.  Not sure how that played out with the rest of the Kardashians.

O.J. could've left a wonderful legacy behind.  Instead, he's more famous for the murder and then the subsequent armed robbery in Las Vegas - for which he, at least, was sent to prison.  So he didn't get lucky the second time.

The Goldmans and Browns have still seen barely a fraction of the award given in the civil trial.  I wonder, if they'll be able to go after his estate?  If he had anything left, that is.

@Venezia

I was also wondering if they can go after his estate.

I think I recall he had a pretty good pension setup from his football years, $25,000 per month, but I don't believe they were able to get money from that.   We shall see ...

Re: OJ Simpson has died

[ Edited ]

I like what you said @TerryNJ .

 I remember going to see The Towering Inferno. Playing the role of a firefighter, he went into a flaming apartment to rescue someone's cat. The whole crowded theater stood up and applauded.

He had it all, but he had more arrogance and rage than that. And that's why I haven't heard many today say they are sorry.

I'm sorry he's getting so much TV air time.  Just say: "OJ died today" and move on to the next, more important news topic.

@Tinkrbl44 - No, the Goldmans tried to attach his pension, but weren't able to.  I don't think that will change now, especially as he was resident in Florida.

They did get the publication rights to the book he wrote "If I Did It" and they changed the title to "If I Did It:  Confessions of the Killer", with the "If" in tiny little letters superimposed on the I.  So it looks like the title is "I Did It".

And his former sports agent and confidant wrote a book admitting that he lied for Simpson and that O.J. admitted to him that he had killed Nicole and Ron.  I suppose he waited until the statute of limitations (for perverting the course of justice) had run out, before he came clean.  Probably to salve his own conscience.

As others have said, good riddance.  Let's not waste anymore time or breath on this travesty of justice.  I hope the news coverage is brief.
