November 3 ....to March 8, 2020

The reason to change the clocks again for approx 4 months escapes me.  Total darkness at 5:00 PM is bad enough - standard time ups it by an hour.  Who designed this crazy procedure?

Fall back for Fall.............................?

The concept goes back to the 1700's.  It was created to allow farmers to have more time to harvest.  If you do a search on the reason for Daylight Savings Time, you'll find an interessting history and that it's not a "crazy procedure".

i say this every time a thread like this is started.

i wish we would just stick with STANDARD TIME year round.

daylight savings time is outdated and unnecessary.

@Cats3000 Oh yes - I'm very familiar with the history of ST and DST - farming - men working in the fields - blah blah.  The point being we can live without this nonsense now. It is outdated -we have  flood lights - spot lights - cars with head lights, LED bulbs..........etc.   No more picking corn or cotton by the light of the moon.

I'm a big fan of DST, however I can understand why people don't want their kids standing out in the dark at 6:30 or 7:00 am waiting for the school bus.

I wish we had daylight savings time all year,, It conserves energy, allows for more productive worktime....

i believe it was enacted during WWI to conserve energy.

I never "rrealized" that Daylight Savings Time last longer than Eastern Standard Time

Daylight savings time is the most wonderful thing I can think of!  I love those long long days so much.

All of this darkness is awful to me, so stretch those summer days out as long as we possibly can.  I love DST!
