@branny  drop down from your name > my account > settings > email preferences>promotions.  change to off

@branny just touch the box with the notifications and it will tell you who gave you hearts and that will clear it. If that's what you're talking about.

what I'm asking is about the very long list of notifications that I get with hearts or comments. Does that list ever go away because it's very long. Is there a way to erase it as it gets too long with old stuff

@branny  you are right. It goes on forever. Maybe after a while those from a long time ago drop off. Never heard  anyone mention anything about a way to delete them.

I don't know if anyone looks at the long list. I just did but only went to October.

There are some Forum members who have MORE than 60,000 posts. 

Perhaps one of them can chime in to let you know how they manage their notifications...

@branny  try what @mizree  suggested. I just went there and mine is set for a certain time. Don't remember doing that.

Settings, preference, then preference option then Hearts.

When the number of new notifications is posted, I only look at those highlighted/new notifications.  Whether that number is 1 or 10, that's all I look at, not the rest of the very long list that occurred previously.  

I ignore the long list since I saw those already.

thank you. I am new to it all and I just thought I was missing how to do something. Yes the list is long so I just was wondering. Thank you.  If there is an answer somewhere I would appreciate the info.

Deleting notifications is not possible.
