In Texas you have to send your tenant Notice to Vacate via certified mail return receipt requested. But that is with a lease involved. If this is a verbal type rental may not be so official to ask someone to leave. Still I would not open you never know what is what now days.

I have been getting a ton of them lately, and also Court "Summons" they are scam and maybe viruses -just delete them- How can I be evicted from my own home, anyway?
