Not my cat.......but only because there are no ornaments on the bottom third of my Christmas tree!

I saw this last week on FB.  So cute and funny.

We had two cats, both had to be put to sleep last year.   Smiley Sad     The older one claimed a little bear we hung low just for him his first xmas with us.  He just walked up to it and grabbed it off the tree.   That was his little bear and he played with it until it was almost threadbare.   He never touched another thing on the tree.

The other one never even touched an ornament on the tree.   He did love to curl up and sleep under it tho.   We miss them so much.

@BridgegalThanks for sharing your cute story about the little bear.  I know your precious kitties will be missed this Christmas.  Much peace and joy to you and your family the holiday season.

@Bridgegal

I see at least one of your dear, sweet kitties was an orange tabby.  Me too....also departed.

I lost 4 of my sweet boys in less than two years and my heart is still broken.  It would be wonderful to have them here again.

None of them ever did more than sleep under the tree.  I had it on a rotating stand and they would often watch the thing turning and turning and then, maybe, swat at one of the lower branches.

But, I stopped using breakable ornaments years ago, so it was never a problem.

I do miss them terribly as I know you miss your kitties.

No cats we've ever had messed with the tree or ornaments.  (I swear strays are so easy to teach the word *no!*)

But I don't put glass ornaments on the bottom specifically because I'm so afraid I'll knock one off accidently.

It is a nightmare!  Worrying about getting up every bit of glass off the floor.  So afraid they'll get a tiny piece in their paws.

Ugh!  Makes me sick just thinking about it.

Christmas ornaments and light bulbs freak me out because of breakage.

These pictures are priceless!!   Thank you so much from another cat lover!!

I got such a good laugh out of it and made me think of my precious cat Perry who I loved so much and miss him everyday since he passed a few years ago.  He just loved Christmastime as all cats do and I too learned very quickly to put the lighter, unbreakable ornaments on the bottom of the tree!    Smiley LOL

@Bridgegal that looks so much like our Lily (my avatar) and that's exactly what she does!

Sorry for the loss of your precious kitties. 😥

We had one Siamese who climbed the tree all the time as a kitten then as an adult can walked through the Nativity set every day several times, over it and around it, and knocked the sheep over.  Why?  ALWAYS the sheep.

We had another Siamese that we bought a brass ornament with his name on it.  We hung it on the bottom of the tree where it hung down and he would walk around and around under it, making it swing with his tail.  We would show it to him every year when we decorated the tree, and he obviously knew it was him.
