As far as sugar and flour - interesing.  It may be a regional thing.  My store brands (which I buy) here in NY still sells both in 5 lb. bags. I know Dominos went to 4 lbs. a year or two ago.  Something interesting; here in my stores in NY, Muellers Elbows went to 12 oz. packaging a couple of years ago - but the price didn't come down.  We are snowbirds and in FL I can still buy 16 oz. Mueller Elbows!  I wonder what the research and metrics are for brands to switch up weights in various areas.  Any marketing experts out there who'd like to share?
