I'm thrilled with the good news that the forum is staying open!  I plan to visit both this forum and the new Proboards.  Thank you to the ladies who stepped up and created a new space for us when the closure was announced.  I think there is room for both communities, and it is a comfort to know the q forum is in place if things change here.

Been without electricity all day just come back on and I see this post!

Not sure if I can totally feel good about this  -  great news indeed if we keep the Boards - but for how long? - and what sudden whim will close them down again?  

Anyway glad the the boards are still here but I will keep ProBoards too for a while but I do prefer it here - long may they continue.

I like the private messaging function on Proboards; i'm used to that on chat boards I've been on, to exchange emails with friends so if a board does close we can keep in touch.  @dulwich  @Biftu

Reminds me of Frankenstein coming to life, but his was because of electricity. Qvc Forums not shutting down now. Because of the money they could lose.

A few posters were banned and they tried to stop the posters from e-mailing QVC's CEO ask him to reconsider.

Only when almost 900 posters joined ProBoards in three days did they take notice and change their minds.

They need us, more than we need them.

I respect everyone's decision on where they want to remain...just QVC, just ProBords or both.

Well said @Carmie .  I don't trust that this forum will be permanent anymore.  After what happened this week, it could go away at a moment's notice.  I'm completely disenchanted now and my allegiance is with Proboards.

@Snoopp   It does not come from a mod.  It comes from a banner at the top of the Q.

*I* copied it and made a thread.

The reason you see Beth the Mod is because I asked for it to be altered and she took out the links.

Whenever a mod modifies a post the mod's name shows up.

Look at the left.  You see my nic as the original poster.

@proudlyfromNJ   It doesn't.  She's confused because in my original post you see Beth Mod - at the beginning of the post.

I asked a mod to remove something and she took care of it.

Whever a mod modifies a post, you see the mod's name at the beginning of the post.
