Not Much Family Left - Christmas

I have lost my parents and don't have much family at all around anymore. Thanksgiving is a day that only reminds me of this fact. Christmas is no longer fun because there is hardly anyone to have over on Christmas eve like we used to.

I miss this. Every time Valerie is on talking about friends and family around the holidays, I get an empty feeling. I wish my mom and dad were here. We used to all get together with my two brothers and we had a nice Christmas eve exchanging gifts and having Holiday desserts and looking at the tree and decorations, listening to music etc. Now I don't even want to decorate the tree when it's close to the time to do it. I just get so blah. But in November I'm thinking a lot about Christmas. The kid in me is there but I then get sort of down.

Anyone else have a small amount of family and feel this way?{#emotions_dlg.sad} I just realized I sound like Charlie Brown!
