@MamaWick  Color me green!    I am full of envy as I have never seen an eagle out in the wilds in all of my 60 plus years.    We are surrounded by 3 dams in our community but I have yet to spot an eagle.

This is one of the reasons I love an eagle.  Most birds would fly off if you got under them to take a photograph.  I'm next door in Michigan so I know what kind of heat Wisconsin is getting - you all have been sending it my way.  This eagle found a cool place to cop a squat and tries the - I'm just gonna ignore the person with the camera - approach.

When that doesn't work the eagle gives 'the look' .  It's either - do you mind, I'm trying to relax...or.. come one step closer and I promise you will regret it.

They are so regal and expressive

@MamaWick    Great picture!  I have luckily seen eagles both in their glory and close up.  I remember back in school learning how they were endangered due to the use/misuse of various things.  So glad to see that they have come back and flourished.  

Unfortunately many have gotten sick or died due to eating animals that have been shot with lead.  ☹️
