I know you guys need the rain as much as we do and hopefully this will be the start of a normal rainy season for the whole state. The most important thing is snow in the Sierras.

Stay dry Noel and Shoekitty!! {#emotions_dlg.wub}

Thank you, Mom Smiley Happy

This weekend is the Giants FanFest at AT&T in San Francisco. We are going but if there is even a chance of rain I say....LET IT RAIN...for the greater good!

Well, it rained for their parade and thousands still showed. Smiley Happy I know, I was there at City Hall watching my nephew get married.

I'm hearing 1-3 inches in the SC Valley.

Lucky girl cody!!! Have a wonderful time. I am a Giants fan too!!

Glad to meet another Giants fan. I love FanFest because I know that Spring Training and Opening Day can't be far behind. Gooooo Giants! But I would give it up for some rain. That is what umbrellas were made for.

We had pneumonia again this year and couldn't go to the parade. The doc said uh UH. So I stayed home. Hated missing it. Loved the parade in 2010 and 2012. Looking forward to 2016!

Wow, it is either feast or famine where CA and rain are concerned isn't it?

Oh, cody, I didn't know you and your DH had pneumonia again, I am so sorry! Was it from that horrible cough that was going around?

My GD near Burbank said it rained 4 days last week. She said it was real rain, not wimpy sprinkles. It has never rained when I have gone to SoCal. I don't care if I go November, December or January..the minute I arrive they have a heat wave. One New Years Eve we went to Disney. it was 89 that day! I had to run to Target across the street from the hotel to get a couple tee shirts!! It had been freezing up here and about 65 before I arrived!

We live a few miles from Disneyland and I know exactly you are talking about Shoekitty. One day we are freezing (relatively speaking) and the next day it's in the 90s during deepest winter. This drought is really getting scary. Lakes and rivers are drying up all over the state.

Soooo, could you postpone your next trip down here until after we get rain?

Just kidding. You're welcome any time. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Good Morning, Mom! Smile

I listened carefully to the weather last night. With the coming storm, they're expecting up to 8 inches of rain in part of CA way up north of us.

The Bay Area is expected to get 2 to 4 inches of rain.

Rain has been predicted for northern CA, beginning Thursday, heavy Friday, continuing Saturday and Sunday.

I'm not hearing predictions of flooding, but anything can happen.

How about your area?

I'm thinking my little family needs to stock up on fresh food and more batteries for the four day event. PG&E has been horrible around here for months, and they're in trouble up to their eyeballs, too. We've had three blackouts in about three months. I just got a delivery of two sets of the recent flameless candle TSV, so I'm set to light up the house if need be, LOL. That's ten new candles in all!

Hi Noel.

It sounds like you aren't in line for the worst of it. That's good. I guess any amount of rain is welcome.

We are lucky to have underground utilities so very rarely have blackouts. Doesn't it make you mad when utility bills continue to go up while service goes down? {#emotions_dlg.mad}

Anyway, it does sound like you are ready for anything that comes your way. We are going to be high and dry for the foreseeable future. UGH!!

Take care my friend!!
