Sorry if this was already mentioned, but even if they stop making pennies, we still have plenty of them in circulation.  Wouldn't it take time for them to fall by the wayside?

 

Just about everyone I know has at least a small penny jar.  If most people dumped theirs back into circulation, it seems we'd have plenty for ages to come ......
