@SharkE Notices about mail delivery are now on the poof list?
02-18-2022 05:50 PM
If I write anything it gets poofed. My thread just stating that a person in the UK now has covid. all I said, then they deleted it, saying it had become argumentative. That ain't my problem my thread should had stayed up just take down the arguing people posts.
Getting to the point your afraid to post anything and if people start fighting in it then the OP loses their topic. Punish the offenders not the person who just states a news piece that is on the internet and has no opinion and is not looking for a fight.

And anymore it seems the most innocuous post can somehow turn into an argument.

My niece suggested we sign up for free Informed Delivery service from the USPS. The central processing hub emails you each morning the front of the first class mail that will go out that day as well as the front label of any packages. There is no delay in the mail as it gets done electronically as it is being processed.
While we are in FL we also have once weekly forwarding of that week's mai. If there is certified mail, the local Post Office signs for it and forwards it along with that week's package.
It makes being away easier. For some folks, you may not need to make a trip to the mail box ! Hope this helps.
Yep, Informed Delivery is a good service and be forewarned if there's nothing important in the mail just junk, but if your mailbox gets full then USPS will tell you new mail couldnt be delivered because your mailbox was full. Then you have to go to the Post Office to pick it up....So even if its nothing but junkmail still be deligent about picking it up but maybe you wont have to pick it up as often from your mailbox......
Ive even gone online and opted out of mailings from the companies but it hasnt stopped them yet, they keep mailing stuff that just gets shredded and goes in the trash....they are wasting their money 🙄

@jlkz that's one of the best things that the Postal Service has done.
So far checking at least once a week is all we do.
Same with me 99% of my bills are sent via e-mail. Therefore, I check my mail box once or twice a week.
I agree. Informed delivery is the best thing that post office has ever done.

Same here. We amost never get mail on Mondays. I no longer even check. Takes to Tuesday or Wednesday to make an appearance. We average 4 days a week in which we get any mail. D.C. has the worst mail delivery in the country. I'm in Maryland so it stands for reason, we don't get a lot of mail.

@songbird . We do get mail delivery six days a week. Just a lot of junk.
