@SharkE   Thank you.  We get very little mail anymore but this is a good reminder for those who do-I totally forgot Monday was President's Day.

We only check the mail a few times a week so no problem.

My niece suggested we sign up for free Informed Delivery service from the USPS.  The central processing  hub emails you each morning the front of the first class mail that will go out that day as well as the front label of any packages.  There is no delay in the mail as it gets done electronically as it is being processed.

While we are in FL we also have once weekly forwarding of that week's mai.  If there is certified mail, the local Post Office signs for it and forwards it along with that week's package.

It makes being away easier.  For some folks, you may not need to make a trip to the mail box !   Hope this helps.

@SharkE   Thank you for the reminder.  I have been shopping, mostly for little things, using Rakuten to get some good cash back deals.

There are great sales going on and I've been keeping an eye out and among other things just ordered a new mirrored accent chest with bun feet from Overstock and saved over 60 percent off the suggested manufacturer's suggested retail price and free shipping and a little money back as well!

I've been looking for months and finally the right combination of price and cabinet came together.

Refreshing my home a little before spring comes.  Have been cleaning and rearranging.

Best wishes for a happy long holiday weekeend to you and to all.

@jlkz

I have that service ( Informed Delivery) and LOVE IT!!!

I can see in my email what's gonna be in the box today....

Now, when it snows or ices over or rains, I don't  risk trudging all the way up my long driveway to find only Medicare Advantage Plan solicitations and reminders that my 11 year old SUV warranty is running out!!!

@jlkz  that's one of the best things that the Postal Service has done.

So far checking at least once a week is all we do.

Thanks for the reminder @SharkE  Now I have to go to the P.O. I have two packages to send out and was planning to do it on Monday. If I can't make it today I will do it tomorrow or use the Kios.
