Re: No interest in buying Irish stuff

I look forward to the Irish shows twice a year and I'm not Irish. They have many quality products that appeal to everyone. I've bought a few pieces of the Belleek ovenware (without the shamrocks), a few pieces of jewelry without Irish symbols, and many sweaters. I'm fascinated by the stories of the homeland and enjoy watching something different for a change. I also used to love the German shows with the cuckoo clocks, as well as other shows that featured items from countries other than China.

I can't say if it is all junk...the sweaters from the past(the few minutes I caught)looked like quality...I'm just not interested in watching it ALL day long.

I actually like the TSV sweater because I like the tree design, but I know I'd never end up actually wearing it. it's not appropriate for the PNW's rain and too warm otherwise.

When my kids were young, and now with my grandkids, when they'd tell me I'm mean because I wouldn't let them have something or made them do something they didn't want to do - "Hey, it's just one of the perks of being a parent - making kids mad." So, in the spirit I'll say hey, it's just a perk that we get to enjoy a day of Irish goods and vendors AND know that you aren't liking it.

I bought marble earrings. I might buy another pretty or two. The rest of the year I buy Chinese stuff...just like everyone else.
