Re: No interest in buying Irish stuff

The Irish stuff doesn't interest me either. A lot of it seems very knick knack-y.

My friend's mother used her English Rose China and Waterford every day, but that was back in the 70's. They traveled extensively and she bought everything in England, Ireland, and Spain (she also collected Lladro) where it was cheaper and would have it shipped home. When she passed away, no one in the family wanted the stuff. That's great if you use it all the time.

Guess this is a sign of the times.......Boy, if someone offered me Waterford or Lladro, I would jump at it. The English Rose China has bee out a very long long time......and I know some folks that have it too and use it. My good china is Wedgewood, and I love it......and use it.....pattern is belle fleur (a very delicate blue flower)......

I never got into any of the stuff in all the years they offered it on St. Patrick's Day. However, it must be profitable for them to continue to have the programming for it.
