Oh now - ya know it's gonna happen!  Smiley Wink

I don't shop for christmas but I do shop online for pretty much everything except most of my groceries, and I was delivered an Amazon package by UPS on Sunday.  That was my first time for a Sunday delivery - well, that I can remember anyway.  Smiley Happy

I am not going to whine but compliment QVC on a job well done.

I took the Honora TSV pearl set to the post office (in original wrap, with QVC return label $6.95) on 12/9.

I started a thread on the boards that I was worried it was lost and then what happens?

I also emailed QVC. I received a reply with in 24 hours.

They have refunded my purchase price minus the $6.95. My order status shows that the pearl set still has not arrived.

I also ordered a NEST travel set (not the TSV) but a smaller set. It arrived in 4 days.

Thie has been a good year for me with merchandise ordered from QVC.

Happy holidays to all!

I ordered something from Eddie Bauer 14 days ago and still had not received it.  It's not a gift (just for me) but I was worried someone might have taken it off my porch.  So I called to check, esp since they were guaranteeing delivery by 12/24 for anything ordered now.  But the CS rep assured me it was not delivered but that it would be.  I said "no worries, I'm just checking.  I'm not mad or upset.  He was like "OMG, thank you for not screaming at me ... you have no idea."  Yes, yes I do. I work in customer service setting.  Get yelled at and called names all the time for things beyond my control.  I told him I completely understood esp it being Christmas and all.  He was so sweet and thanked me for my kindness.

I was completely clueless on what to get this year so yup, major procrastinator here.  (There's factors that caused that procrastination though.)   I feel fairly confident Amazon will come through but if not it's MY fault.

Since you know it all, you might be surprised that the are other reasons why packages are late . Weather plays a huge part in mail / package deliveries, as well as mistakes made by yes Ups and other carriers.
A package was delivered to my address after dark that belongs to someone else so i will beed to flag down a ups truck today to have them pick ut up.

Exactly.   A lof the UPS and FedEx drivers at this time of the year are seasonal help.

Only a fool would believe the delivery promises.

The late package recipients will show up Saturday to tell us how QVC ruined their family's Christmas.

We should take bets on how many 1st time posters will come to the boards this weekend to tell QVC how they ruined their Christmas because they didn't make the guarantee.  Put me down for 5 complaintants.   lol

Yes, you definitely have to plan ahead as much as possible just in case you have to make adjustments if things go wrong.

Sometimes people have to wait until the last minute if there are economic issues involved or work schedules etc.

I got a UPS box early last night and I was so happy it wasn't at midnight lol

You raise some good points, where I'm sure that people are probably planning around budgets and work schedules.

I ordered some items at the end of last week that I wasn't planning on getting, but then changed my mind about them.

I took advantage of an expidited shipping upgrade that was free with standard shipping, that guaranteed the items would arrive by Christmas.

I ordered them last Thursday, and they arrived yesterday afternoon by Fed. Ex. I didn't expect them that soon, but I was really pleased that they came that quickly. Smiley Happy
