I currently pay $5 a gallon for gasoline, so I consider that also when going B&M store shopping...

Not saying this in relation really to the situation here, but I don't know how we expect retailers to make it.  We want free shipping. We want coupons for percentages off.  We want great cash back money from cash back sites.  We don't want to pay for shipping to return an item.  Retailers just can't sustain all that.

At some point, if we want something, we need to pay. Just my lowly viewpoint tonight.

Absolutely agree.  Not to mention the cost of borrowing money right now which all corporations do and what they need to pay in wages.  Public companies need to keep their shareholders happy too, so they can't eat into the bottom line much.

If I REALLY really wanted the two items, I would pay 11.00 dollars to ship, as that amounts to 5.50 per item which is a reasonable amount for shipping.🥰 If you wait for a free  shipping event, the item might be sold out.😁

@SandySparkles It is not reasonable if you buy multiples of the same item.  It is not reasonable if you buy four little things and pay for shipping by the piece.  Then they come in one little bag from the same warehouse.

I don't shop from any sites who do this.  Especially when 90 percent of what QVC sells can be bought somewhere else.  Especially the kitchen gadgets and small items.

@Sooner I appreciate your perspective!❤ My response was in relation to the OP'S direct statement; not hypothetical.🥰 My opinion might have been quite different had she expressed the concerns you mentioned.😊

I understand your issues with shipping charges, and respect your purchasing decisions!😁

I ordered a used paperback book on another site for $3.98. The shipping was $11.98! I really wanted the book, and it was out of print, so I figured the shipping was worth it.

For the most part shipping doesn't bother me. Sometimes if I'm not worried about an item selling out I'll put it in my wish list and wait for a "free shipping" day! If shipping on something I really want at the moment is high, then I will factor it into the cost and decide if it's worth it. Most of the time I decide it is!  Smiley Wink

Would you pay $5.50 more per item to have free shipping all the time?

I always remember when I shop at places like Amazon that their prices include shipping.

It does seem excessive to charge additional shipping when I would think identical items would be placed in the same box.

I have 2 things in my cart, but i refuse to pay 11.00 for shipping n handling! so its an easy pass for me.. if it was free i would get 3 of them, but no way. this shipping is the deal breaker for me....

I'm with you. I can find everything elsewhere for lower prices, real coupon codes, free shipping, and free returns.

I really want these things to... oh well i will wait till they have free s & h... then the items will be sold out lol

I'd look at that as it wasn't meant to be. I can find everything I want elsewhere for less money and free shipping.

Postage rates are going up again either the end of this month of mid-July. They are killing on-line businesses.
