Re: No End In Sight 🤯

One of the reasons we left Henderson, NV--temps 100+ for extended periods of time and the intensity of the sun, just brutal.

@Kachina624  Yep we are supposed to cool down and get rain Sunday on for a few days.  I hope so.  It's amazing how quickly things dry up with the intense sun ...DW

Cannot imagine that kind of relentless heat, although Maryland is going through a heat wave now.

Just curious, but have you ever considered moving because of the heat?

@Witchy Woman Heat, no.  Tornadoes and hail, YES!

I consider moving all the time because of things that happen here.

And then I hear about all the stuff that happens in other places that are as bad or worse.  No place is perfect.  And if there were such a place, it would be overpopulated and unaffordable!

Re: No End In Sight 🤯

Here in NE PA we are to be in the 90s until Sunday.  We haven't had much rain in the last few weeks.

The bad thing about this heat and humidity is the bad storms it creates.  I could do without hail and wind. There is a reason I don't live in or near tornado alley.

We get an occasional F1 tornado but nothing that is going to reduce the house to toothpicks or let me find my car 2 blocks away.

I can honestly admit that I have never heard of anyone hating Summer! Until I began on these boards, I thought everyone loved the lovely warm weather, nice long days, getting outside and enjoying life. I would LOVE 90 degree weather forever! Woman Happy

Considered yes but not seriously. Everyplace has issues and I rather take the heat vs tornados, earthquakes, humidity, snow etc. 4 months a year isn't so bad considering the rest of the year is pretty good.

Hate the intense heat from June to September. Not a fan of 12 hour days. Can't do anything anyway cuz it's to hot. It's 90 degrees at 5 am. Winter is not nearly long enough. I like when it gets dark at 5:30. We can just skip summer.

Re: No End In Sight 🤯

@ID2     I'm the odd person who loves summer--even in 90s plus weather.

High humidity doesn't bother me either.  Love a good sauna after the beach or pool when I stay in a hotel that offers one.

Love longer daylight hours and the warmth.  It is my number one season.  Spring is in second place, autumn is third, and winter is dead last, especially after the beginninng of the New Year has passed.

So, you aren't entirely alone.
