Did you know our zoo is working on constructing a permanent memorial for 'Penny'? The zoo is looking for the public's input about it's design. So far there is one statue of her sitting down. I'd like to see one of her standing, showing her strength and endurance. The statue is said to be finalized and put on display at the end of this summer.

 

 @SilleeMee- I read about the memorial for sweet Penny on Facebook. She was such a special giraffe and her death still makes me sad. I wish she could have made it. 

 

I’m also still a faithful fan of April the giraffe who is expecting another calf soon.

@gidgetgh  Thanks for posting all these upcoming issues.  I'm going to be getting many that I like.  Darn it!   I don't want to pay the postage increase!  But some are too good to resist.
