where i use to work we sold stamps all year long...during the holidays we would get in christmas ones...santas or religious...we had a devil of a time getting people to take the religious ones...while the santa ones were gone right away...sad...

I would have to agree with you. Somehow the religious aspect of the holiday seems to be getting more and more overshadowed.

I will say, for me personally, I'd like to buy a religious stamp, but the ones I see offered, like the one above, are not all that pretty to me.

I'm sure this is a fine work of art in and of itself, but I just don't care for it. I respect it, but don't find it beautiful aesthetically. Mother and Child is always 'beautiful' in the religious sense to me, but this style of depiction just isn't, to me, and perhaps many others as well.

Many of the religious stamps I have seen are in this same style. Perhaps if they came out with more variety in style, they would be more popular.
