If Project Runway taught me anything, it was Fashion Week is about Conceptual designs. After a show, you can tell what the underlining idea you'll see in he stores.
I just viewed Carolina Hererra show. With her her designs & the pics above, there's going to be ALOT of A-line shift dresses in the stores this spring. Stiffer fabrics & Beige, steel gray were big players. I predict 'lady-like' apparel will be everywhere this spring/summer.

Ralph Lauren and JCrew Fall lines are really gorgeous.
If only I could afford their clothes.

Even so... sometimes I think a reading of "The Emperor's New Clothes" might be in order.

This was the specific Project Runway episode which I was referring. Christian Siriano & Chris March on the same team to design a conceptual runway design. Last minute, the judges added a 'off the rack' design to be made. What carried over from the runway design was a blouse that had the same ruffles & color. Beautiful example.
